Headcanon

Basic ideas:

  • Halcandra was destroyed at some point and all that remains is the floating, firey island that can be seen within the game.
  • The Ancients were a race that existed many years ago and lived upon the non-damaged Halcandra. It did not explode until Magolor’s lifetime.
  • The landscape of Halcandra was originally very diverse, and the volcano’s area lush with trees even after the planet broke apart. It was not until the Lor was removed from the volcano that the planet became a lava flow and Landia was woken.

Magolor:

  • Was originally raised to be an engineer, but ran away from home at 14 Halcandran years to practice magic after discovering information about the Ancients.
  • Was left homeless and alone at 17 when the planet exploded for unknown reasons. He is the only one of his species that has survived.
  • Rediscovered the Lor at 20 and restored it until 23.
  • Launched his plot to dupe Kirby and take the Master Crown at 25. This is a post-canon Magolor, and I have been playing him since shortly after the game was released. He has had many adventures since then.
  • Discovered information about Kirby and Marx through his own timeline’s Galacta Knight, though they did not speak much.
  • Already knew all magic before donning the Master Crown, but was no longer limited by his own small power reserves with it on. Can use this power without it, but avoids the larger attacks when possible.
  • Is internally made of a dark, whispy magic substance. He is an energy being wrapped in flesh.
  • Is able to float whenever desired.
  • Is in a loving relationship with his own universe’s Marx.

Lor Starcutter:

  • Remained in stasis from the fall of the Ancients to the breakdown of the planet, but returned to it at Landia’s command to be woken later by Magolor.
  • Remained perfectly quiet and stoic in ship form until encountering NOVA, who provided him with a second form: an android imitating the form of the Ancients.
  • Automatically floats just as Magolor and NOVA do.
  • Has become very attached to Magolor, NOVA and Marx. He considers them his “family.” NOVA is his romantic partner.
